Flat Iron

This weekend I opted for the couch and one of my favorite movies (Pride and Prejudice.) I had put my p.j.'s on Christmas Eve and did not change until Sunday. It was a veg-kinda day as I was not in the mood to hike, so the boys went by themselves.

We had taken Levi in the Spring, but we did not make it to the top. This time he was determined. With new boots, a head lamp, and camelback adjusted, he was ready. Eight hours later, the last two in the dark, he made it out. He was very proud of himself, even though his little legs were tired.

I think Dad was more proud and it was fun for him as he is just now getting back to exercising. I am sad that I did not go on the hike but enjoyed the day by myself anyway.
