MILAN ROCKS!

We had Milan's award banquet last week for football. I was so proud of him. Here the Coach is saying how awesome Milan is. Although it lasted for four hours, it was so special. These boys have been through a lot together and it was great to see them rewarded for their hard work.

The Coach had each of the boys (7o total), come up on stage, one by one, as he reflected on what each one of them had specifically done for the team throughout the season. He game them a dvd with all 11 game highlights, an underarmor shirt printed with their score for each game, a team picture from the Fremont game, and a discount card for certain stores.

The boys were all seated together on one side of the room and the parents and family on the other. It was the highlight of my night as the Coach had them each get up,hug and kiss their parents and verbally tell them thank you for the support. It was very touching to see this handsome young man all dressed up, in my mind he is still my little boy playing with legos, tell me thank you for driving him, supporting him and loving him. I could hardly hold back the tears.

I am excited to see what Milan will do next year. He is unsure of whether he wants to play again. Although, after we saw the movie "Blindside" and read the book, he is reconsidering his football future. I am sooooo proud of Milan!
