Latvia Update

Well, my daughter is back. It took a while for her to come back to life. She came home with a cold and needed to catch up on her sleep.

I was so excited to hear about her trip. She very patiently shared with me that she wanted to talk, but needed time to still process her thoughts. The ideas kind of slipped in and out of conversations all week.

I tried to tell myself before she got home not to overwhelm her with questions. I know I can be inquisitive (o.k. pushy, whichever you prefer) and need a lot of details. I was so excited to hear what she learned from this experience, but I knew it needed to be done on her time frame. The Lord gave me a verse in my quiet time that helped me, "Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips." (Psalm 141:3) and I was convicted to wait. I am still in process of this but it is good. This verse helped me to act with self-control and to give her space.

I am so proud of her and how God has stretched her this summer. I know her heart is soft to those who do not have a relationship with her Savior and that He will lead her to share when she feels drawn to. Her camera broke on the first day so until we get photos from others I can not put any up (sorry Mom) but I will when I can.

I am so thankful for this opportunity for her. Thank you to all who prayed and supported her. A BIG thanks to the leaders who sacrificed and invested in my daughter and God's future kingdom, you guys are the best!!
