College Search 101

I had the privilege of spending the day with Nolan recently. We made the trek to Tucson to check out U of A. He is not sure where he wants to go yet, but this was the first stop. He could envision himself here and had a friend show him around the campus. I think he likes the idea of being away from home and having the independence. We are still checking out some Christian colleges also (that would be my first choice) but he is still open to other schools.

The best part was being in the car (oh, how I love the car!) and having great conversations. I miss this one on one and had not realized how long it had been since just he and I had the chance to do that. I did try not to go too deep and tried to contain myself from clinging to him :-) As I am trying to be conscience of the letting go process, I am realizing just how little time I really have. Although, I do not think I will be totally out of the decision making process, I know my opinion may not be the first he seeks.

This is a great time for me to pray for him and that someone godly will come alongside and influence him to seek the Lord in all the choices he will be making, "for I know the plans God has for him, plans to prosper him and not to harm him, plans to give him a hope and a future." This is where my time needs to be, in prayer!!
