FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

This is the first time I have had one child in every different stage in school.

Levi started third grade and is very excited about school. I love that he adores his teacher, the bus, lunch, his friends, multiplication, cursive, and of course, the totally awesome recess!

Milan is in ninth grade, which is still considered junior high here.Being on the football team this year, he was required to wear a shirt and tie for the first two weeks of school. Can I just say two words--HANDSOME STUD!There is something about seeing that boy all cleaned up and spiffy that does a mom good!

Cassidy is in her last year of high school(kleenex is not an abundant source in my house right now), she has only three classes and is definitely enjoying her new freedom. She is in a work release program that requires her to work for her extra time off, and that is good for her wallet.

Nolan started his first year in community college, so far he says it is very easy and the only downfall are people in his class that are my age. He says they sit in the front of the class, ask a zillion questions, and stay after class to confer with the teachers. He thinks they take away from good, quality teaching time and are a distraction to everyone in the class.

Carpool has been very tricky and time consuming. I get the most time with Milan and Cassidy, which I am eating up with a great big tablespoon! There is nothing better than being alone in the car with one child at a time, in which you are not facing one another, to bring out more conversation than the ever famous "fine", or if it is a bad day the unintelligible grunt that you have to decode by the tone or small inflections to figure out what they really said. I am not taking this time for granted and am enjoying my taxi services. I know I am approaching not being needed in this area very soon, so I want to cherish it!
