Reflections in Abundance

This gal just got some very good news! As she is trying to get her ducks in a row, her first choice of college let her know she is welcome to join their campus. We are heading for Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Or for a test drive. We will be going on a mother-daughter trip to check out the area. She may not have a car, so we will check out the metro system, school, dorms and surrounding churches.

It is exciting and scary at the same time. I know she is ready to fly the coop, but am I? I am coming to terms with it each day as the planning sessions for scholarships, grants, and deadlines are fast approaching. I am excited for the time I will get to spend with her on this trip. I am praying that the Lord will give me the right words so that I do not try to cram all the information I want to share with her in four days that should have been spread out through the last 17 years of her life!

If you think of us, say a little prayer for her and I. This is new territory for me and I want to encourage the Lords will in her life and not mine. Pray that I would have the diligence to figure all of this college stuff out, the paperwork, financial part and the logistics. I am in over my head in so many areas, I do not know where to begin! From the emotional to the realistic, God is still in control and I am clinging to His word daily!
