THE COPPER QUEEN MINE

While in Bisbee, we had the opportunity to go tour a copper mine. It had been opened in the early 1900's and was a blast in history. It was so interesting to learn all about the mine from a miner that actually worked that mine. He had a lot of personal stories to add to the tour and was suffering from sickness acquired in his youthful years in the mine. I was most surprised by being underground for 1i/2 hours how it took a toll on my eyesight. I actually had to strain and put my sunglasses on as soon as we got out.

We loved it and feel amazed at the hard work that went into such a commodity we all use.
