Wow, it hardly feels like 16 years! You were the cutest, chubbiest baby ever! I always thought it would be fun to have a girl but I had no idea.
Cassidy, you have grown into such a lovely young lady who serves her God well. That is the thing that makes me most proud. To see you, even on a mission trip, is an answered prayer from the time you were born.
God has so richly blessed me with a girl who:
*loves to shop
*has an amazing sense of humor
*whose favorite thing to do is watch Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast
*loves to vacation in Disneyland
*reads as much as I do (or Nana)
*makes special notes for the pizza delivery guy
*does karaoke with your friends and then video tapes it
*loves to get pedicures every chance she gets
*would do a 5k when she hates exercise
*knows what fashion trend is going to begin or starts her own
*is willing to go out of her way to make another feel comfortable
*is goofy when she has not had enough sleep
*steals my clothes out of my closet and then puts them in her drawer
*makes lists for everything and then follows them
*tries to teach her mom to not be so techno-challenged
*plays practical jokes on her dads
*sets goals for herself and then lets nothing stop her from achieving them
*loves Grandma's toaster strudel
*cleans my kitchen and makes the house spotless when we are on a date
*bakes chocolate chip cookies with your little brother for fun (and cleans the mess)
*laughs at all your brother's hilarious jokes ( and even the not-so-funny ones)
*can text faster than any supergirl I know
*above all these is a girl who loves God, is striving to walk deeper with Him and a heart that loves those around her
I love you and am so proud to be your Mom. Happy Birthday...

James turned 16 on the 3rd.
I have some pictures of he & Cassidy together when they were toddlers.

Happy, Happy SWEET 16!! I can hardly believe it! You are a beautiful, sweet, ambitious young woman and I absolutely know that you will do amazingly well at anything that you set out to do! I can see Jesus working marvelously in your life! You were a mega-cute kid with a charming personality; a loving and loyal friend to all that God has brought into your life. You are still the same 16 years into your life, and I am so proud of you!

Happy Sweet Sixteen Cass!!! Gosh I can't believe it's already here for you! That is so exciting! It is a fun time and change in your life. You will enjoy some new freedoms of becoming a young lady in the Lord. You are brilliant and charming. I have enjoyed growing up with you. You have always been like a little sister to me.
