Lego Land

We had a little trip together because Milan went to football camp, Cassidy went on a mission trip to San Francisco and Nolan had to work.It was one of Levi's friends birthday, so off we went to celebrate with him.

This was another first for Levi. He had never been on a roller coaster before. His dad is not much of a fan, but I on the other hand....
The look of fear before he got on was so cute. He was trying so hard to be brave, but was afraid at the same time. He loved it!He was so proud of himself for being able to work through his fear, and conquer something that was unknown. This helped out later on when he would become fearful again.

His brothers had told him all about getting your drivers license there. We still have those laminated cards, so Levi knew he wanted one also. The closer it got to riding the cars, the more apprehensive he became. He would suggest another ride, or that the line was too long, or he did not want to drive. I saw the fear arise in him again. He is a bit of a perfectionist and when faced with a situation where he might not be perfect at it in front of others, he always wants to bail. That is where I come in, I can be his encourager and can help him along. I must admit, it is hard to force him to do something that he is afraid of and to be very firm with him. At one point, I asked him " Do you trust Mommy?" He had to answer yes, because right now he does:) He finally drove that car and was so excited! The line had gone down and he was able to drive the cars four times in a row!He gained his confidence and I was so proud of him!He is now the proud owner of one official Lego Land drivers license.

Levi is the perfect age for Lego land, it really is a place for young children.I know he wants to go to Disneyland now, and I see a trip in the near future, Lord willing.I know he would love to experience this with his dad and siblings:)
