January Swimming??

These crazy boys were outside playing basketball when real peer pressure set in. They saw the pool and the dares began.

"I dare you to jump in and swim," said one. "No, you first!" Well as they stripped down to their boxers, one by one they jumped in. The screams elevated and they all turned pink! Yet they were exhilarated, so continue to jump in. Although they only lasted fifteen minutes, they were having the time of their life. They thought that was the coldest thing ever!

I was there the whole time (of course I was taking these cute pictures) but I received a lot of parental slack from one of the moms. She said "And I thought you were a good mom. What were trying to do, bring pneumonia on to my son?" I thought it was fun and cute and so the thought of it being too cold just did not occur to me at that time. I was humbled. I called to apologize and she said she was teasing, but she would have to reconsider whether her son would be able to come over unsupervised again :=)

These boys are great friends and it is a blast to see how they interact together. They encourage, motivate and even sometimes push one another to be brave. I love watching it!
